Grid Tied and Off grid:
Grid tied is used as a cost saving tool where your solar plant is connected to the grid supply. You consume your total solar power and only offtake what you need from the grid to top up consumption.
We plan your solar plant up to 1 Megawatt and tie it into your installation to not only tie to the grid but to tie on to your backup generators as well. This results in lower fuel consumption and less hours on your generators. Less running sets when more power consumed from your solar plant.
Off grid is where you rely solely on your solar plant with batteries and your backup generator if you have one.
Battery technology is currently developing fast but is expensive. The short life span makes this an expensive investment that has to be replaced from time to time. We are currently working with alternative battery system manufacturers that have batteries with a very long life span. It is mainly suited to large energy storage needs. The vanadium redox flow battery is technology that was developed by NASA and is becoming very cost competitive due to it longevity 20+ years.
